Proximal tibia fracture surgery Hyderabad | Dr. Vasudeva Juvvadi
I had a severe fracture to my tibia bone(the bone below the knee) due to a motorcycle accident. I have had surgery done by an orthopedic doctor to fix my fractured leg at a hospital in my hometown. However, after a few weeks, I had started to experience pain and discomfort. I went on for another test and the results revealed that the fracture turned out to be a non-union fracture due to infection. It made me disappointed because I was still recuperating from the post-operative period. I was worried and then started enquiring about the doctors who perform revision surgeries. In this regard, a few people suggested some orthopedic doctors’ names. I reported my case to a few of my neighbors.
As suggested by my neighbors, I got the appointment of Dr. Vasudeva Juvvadi, one of the best Non-union Fracture surgeons in Hyderabad. I explained everything, he said not to worry and assured me that he would do revision surgery and fix my nonunion fracture. As promised, he did surgery and within a few weeks, my fracture healed completely. I became normal and I was able to walk as usual. I would like to thank Dr. Vasu for his wonderful treatment and also recommend others to consult him if they experience any bone problems.
Proximal Tibia Fracture Treatment
A proximal tibia fracture can be treated both surgically and non-surgically. There are both benefits and risks associated with these modes of treatment.
The decision pertaining to the type and form of treatment – whether non-surgical or surgical is a combined one usually made by the doctor in consultation with the patient and the family members. Therefore, the recommended mode of treatment is in general based on the type of injury and patient’s preferences. Surgery is a recommended mode of treatment in active individuals for restoring the joint’s mobility, flexibility, and stability. Surgery is also helpful in minimizing the risk of arthritis.
